Social events – Page 9 – Views from the Hill

Members and their families are invited to our annual Fireworks Party, to be held at Horniman School, Horniman Drive on Saturday 9th November.

Doors open at 6.30pm, from when food and drink will be available, including home made mulled wine, all of which is included in the price of your ticket.

This event is for members of the association only, but if you would like to join the association and have yet to, membership can be paid at the gate (£5).

Entrance fee this year is once again just £5 Adults, £2.50 accompanied children.

All members are invited to the association AGM, to be held at Horniman School on Thursday 12th September, from 7pm. Doors will open from 6.30pm.

Do come along to hear a review of the year by David Lowe, and following the official part of the AGM, we are delighted to announce that renowned local historian, Steve Grindlay will present an illustrated talk on the history of Tewkesbury Lodge, the house that originally stood on the estate, and the families that lived in it before it was demolished in 1930 to make way for the Estate more as we know it today.

The talk promises to be fascinating to local residents, and of course, refreshments will be provided.

SEE3, the team responsible for leading the Forest Hill, Sydenham and Kirkdale Portas bid, have put together a calendar covering events taking place in SE23 and SE26 during December.
